Psalms 139:7-10

“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” (KJV)

God is intimately acquainted with us…even down to each minute detail.

He knows our strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, and actions, even before we do. He knows us so well that Jesus said that even the hairs of our head are numbered by Him. Such attention to detail demonstrates just how much God knows and cares for us.

This extraordinary knowledge caused David to proclaim, “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it” (v.6). Additionally, He said, “There’s no way, I can escape His presence because His Spirit is always there. Even if I were to ascend to heaven or descend to hell, He would be there. If I were to transcend time and take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the depths, the uttermost parts of the sea, even there would He lead me, and His right hand shall hold me” (vv.7-10).

Beloved, God wants us to know that there’s no place we can go that He’s not there. There’s no experience too tough for Him to handle, and there’s no problem too small for Him to notice.

So in the midst of it all, just remember to trust Him, call upon Him in prayer, and realize that He will always be there.

Blessings,
