  1. Awesome thought son. Most times it’s our wants and intentions we’re driven by. It just makes more sense to us sometimes that He would think the way we do, and we forget Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”. declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways.

  2. Constant struggle every year, to submit my desires to him and surrender them to his agenda. Sometimes I hear that we are indeed aligning and I can scarce believe my ears (so much that I keep going back and asking again just to be sure). Other times he steers me in a different direction, and I just have to trust that the only life to be found in this situation is down the path he indicates.

    1. My brother…I know EXACTLY what you mean! I believe that’s what makes following Jesus so wonderful, though.

Sure, it stings a little when He reveals how totally off we are at times. But knowing that we can’t always rightly predict Him makes it so adventurous!

      Thanks so much for sharing!
